Shattenkirk was drafted in the first round in 2007 and took his time arriving in the NHL. Since showing up, however, he has delivered well on his promise. His stats through his first two season were identical: 9 goals and 34 assists for 43 points. The big difference since moving from Colorado to St. Louis is a 24 point bump in his +/- and he doubled his PIMs from 30 to 60. Shattenkirk is on the top pairing for the Blues along side Pietrangelo. Together, these youngsters should provide a huge 1-2 punch. He's a rising star in the fantasy hockey world.
