2011-12 Fantasy Hockey Player Rankings

by chewy 22. August 2011 13:39

Summer is coming to a close, which means fantasy hockey draft season is now upon us.  Landsharkhockey is releasing our initial draft rankings and player notes today.  As always, everything on the site is free, so it's the perfect time and place to start your fantasy draft preparations.   Over the next few weeks, you can expect a series of articles highlighting the different groups of players to be considered, including: sleepers, overrated players, rising stars, injuries risks, gambles, breakout players and more.  We will also be updating our rankings on a weekly basis through the start of the season to account for injuries and other news coming out of training camp this fall. remains the premier site for customizing your own draft list.  You can use our rankings as a starting point, and reorder your list to fit your own predictions and insight.  You can also choose to start your list based on last year's scoring leaders, or even start with a blank slate and build it yourself.   The ranking tools include comments and player flags to help you with your analysis.

New for 2011-12 -- Offensive Position breakdown.

In previous seasons, we simply chose to rank all offense together.  As many fantasy leagues separate offense by position, we've given you the ability to rank each position (C, RW, LW) individually.  You also have the flexibility to rank all offense in one group, then pull out your lists by specific position and manage those lists individually.  Give it a try and let us know what you think.

Mock Draft

As we get closer to draft time, be sure to try out our Automatic Mock Draft Console.  While other draft consoles require you to wait for a draft room to fill up, and may drag on for an hour or more, our automated console allows you draft any time, in a matter of minutes.  Use your customized draft list to queue up your selections.  You can also configure the opponents to draft based on certain strategies, to tailor your practice towards your specific league.  Post-draft, we'll provide you with a  scorecard of how you did by position.

Let the draft season begin.
