Daily Fantasy Feed - 3/24/10

by chewy 24. March 2010 09:08

Here's your Fantasy Hockey Feed for today…

4 Stars

#1 - Brian Elliott (G - OTT) - Elliot followed up his shutout on Monday with a shutout on Tuesday.  Not a bad start to the work week.

#2 - Tuuka Rask (G - BOS) - There were three shutouts last night, but none bigger than Boston's over Atlanta in the race for the final playoff spot.  Rask wasn't giving the Thrashers an inch.

#3 - Ilya Kovalchuk (F - NJ) - The Devil's offense was in full force, thanks to Mr. Kovalchuk.  He scored once and set up 3 more in New Jersey's 6-3 win over Columbus.

#4 - Anti Niemi (G - CHI) - Niemi continued his amazing rookie season with a 28 save shutout win over the Coyotes to put the Hawks alone in first out West.

Fantasy Notes:

  • Despite Niemi's strong play, the Hawks insist they will continue to rotate him with Cristobal Huet, causing much grief to fantasy owners.
  • Bobby Ryan was back in last night's game after missing action over the weekend
  • Joffrey Lupul is unlikely to return before the playoffs.  So, if for some odd reason you were storing him on your bench, you can free up that spot with an active player.
  • Roberto Luongo is struggling right now and getting booed at home.  He's lost 3 of his past 4 games.  Fans can be so unkind.
  • Look for Brian Boucher to start most if not all of the Flyers remaining games.  They have no other options.
  • Brad Richards is riding a 6 game scoring streak, as he continues to linger in the top 10 of all scorers
  • Rob Blake had gone 8 games without a point before registering 2 assists last night
  • Brent Seabrook returned last night after missing two games, following the nasty hit by ex-teammate James Wisniewski.  Wisniewski is serving 8 games for the hit.
  • Jonas Hiller has started 18 straight games for the Ducks
