4 Stars
#1 - Dustin Byfuglien (F - CHI) - Byfuglien is getting used to being the hero in Chicago. For the third time in four games, he tallied the game winning goal. Byfuglien leads the Hawks with 8 goals in the playoffs.
#2 - Antti Niemi (G - CHI) - He only faced 18 shots on the night, but was good enough on 16 of them to help close out the series with a sweep.
#3 - Patrick Marleau (F - SJ) - Say what you will about Thornton and Heatley, but clearly no blame can be placed on upcoming UFA Marleau for the Sharks failures. He scored a critical short handed goal to tie the game up in the second period. Marleu finished the playoffs with 8 goals in 14 games.
#4 - Kris Versteeg (F - CHI) - Versteeg finished the night with 2 points, assisting on one and adding an empty netter to close out the scoring.
Injury Update:
- Duncan Keith lost some teeth in game 4, but returned almost immediately, not missing a shift
- Andrew Ladd played just 2 minutes on the night after leaving the game. No word on his injury.
Player Notes:
- Evgeni Nabokov played a decent game and kept the Sharks in every one of their 4 losses. He finished the playoffs with a respectable 2.56 GAA, having possibly played his last game in Black and Teal, as he'll be an unrestricted free agent in a few weeks.
