4 Stars
#1 - Mathieu Perreault (F-WAS) - Perreault was the unlikely hero in Washington, as he scored two goals, including the O.T. winner to snap the losing streak.
#2 - Brendan Morrow (F-DAL) - Morrow scored twice for the Stars
#3 - Loui Eriksson (F-DAL) - Eriksson scored the winner in overtime, and added two assists for Dallas.
#4 - Craig Anderson (G-COL) - won his 6th straight, stopping 27 of 29 against Montreal
Injury Update:
- Alex Pietrangelo (D-STL) is expected to return to action today
- Paul Stastny (F-COL) returned yesterday for Colorado
Player Notes:
- Michal Neuvirth (G-WAS) was in net for Washington's first win in 9 games, stopping 24 of 26 shots against the Senators
- Chris Osgood (G-DET) allowed 4 goals on 32 shots for the suddenly struggling Wings, who have dropped 3 of their last 4 games.
- Five players recorded a goal and an assist last night:
- Wayne Simmonds (F-LA)
- Jonathan Toews (F-CHI)
- Eric Fehr (F-WAS)
- Pavel Datsyuk (F-DET)
- Johan Franzen (F-DET)
- Teemu Selanne (F-ANA) is skating with Getzlaf and Perry in practice, so you may consider targeting him this week in daily fantasy pools.
Recommended Starters for Daily Hockey Tonight:
I would like to go with a Philly goalie tonight, but no word from the Flyers yet on who is expected to get the start. Instead, I'll pencil in a more likely starter:
- Fantasy Sports Live - Marc-Andre Fleury (PIT - 103) vs PHO. The Pens have lost 2 straight, but don't expect that slide to continue. They're home against the Coyotes and Bryzgalov is expected to miss again with the flu.
- Fanduel - I'm holding out to see who starts in Philly on Fanduel. Both Flyer goalies are priced low, and Philly should be able to handle Florida tonight.
